On July 3, 2026, FMTI Group signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce, establishing FMTI as a strategic partner in supporting local industrial development and agri-food processing.

The signing took place during the launch and inauguration of the Khmer MSME HUB (Tuol Pongro), a national platform dedicated to supporting and showcasing Cambodia’s micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). The ceremony was attended and chaired by H.E. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce of Cambodia, together with H.E. Pang Chee Wee, Ambassador of Singapore to Cambodia; H.E. Oknha Dr. Keo Mom, President of the Cambodian Professional and Micro Enterprise Committee (CPMEC); William Wang, Founder and Chairman of FMTI and GFMT; and other representatives from government, business and industry.

The Khmer MSME HUB is a national platform led by Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce to support the development and growth of local MSMEs. It serves as an important platform for strengthening local manufacturing and agricultural processing capabilities. The strategic cooperation between FMTI and the Ministry of Commerce aligns closely with Cambodia’s industrial development priorities, with an initial focus on agri-food processing projects involving products such as chicken and cashew nuts.

Headquartered in Singapore, FMTI is a global food industry technology and industrial services group. Leveraging its food engineering expertise, cross-border supply chain resources and industrial service capabilities, FMTI will work through its food machinery B2B trade ecosystem, GFMT - Food Machinery B2B Trade Ecosystem, as a key implementation platform for the cooperation.

GFMT will support agri-food processing projects in Cambodia through equipment sourcing and matching, production line planning and industrial technology support. By connecting local agricultural resources with processing technologies and global equipment supply, FMTI aims to help transform primary agricultural products into higher-value processed foods, strengthen local food processing value chains and support the growth of small and medium-sized food manufacturers.

The cooperation marks an important milestone in FMTI’s Southeast Asia strategy and represents a significant step forward in building its presence in Cambodia’s agri-food processing and food engineering sector.

Looking ahead, FMTI will continue to work with Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce and local industry partners to advance processing projects involving chicken, cashew nuts and other agricultural products. By bringing together proven food processing technologies, global equipment supply chains and industrial services, FMTI aims to support the sustainable development of Cambodia’s food industry and build stronger connections between Southeast Asian food businesses and global industrial resources.
